Social Bookmarking Sites, The Ones You Really Need To Increase Revenue
Social Bookmarking Sites
If you have a blog or write for Hubpages, you must have heard of Social Bookmarking sites.
All successful bloggers and online writers use these sites to boost traffic and increase their revenue from blogs and Youtube videos.
Social Bookmarking is for internet users to organize, store, and manage searches online.
With social Bookmarking you are saving links to web pages that you want to remember and or share with others.
Bookmarks show search engines how a site is perceived, thus influencing your ranking. When these sites allow voting, they will further allow engines what classification you site is. Each vote up can add clout to your page.
Social Bookmarking can introduce a site to the search engines. For example after writing a new article on Hubpages I will immediately put my freshly written article on my favorite sites to give them an initial boost.
Bookmarks measure what they perceive to be quality, the more people bookmark a page, the more credibility it has.
Digg
I must say this is my all time favorite bookmarking site. I have personally seen by posts on digg and been unable to find them on the internet.
Google considers this site to be highly credible and will rank your posts higher than other pages. So even your own blog is not highly rated, and shows nowhere on the internet, do not despair, people will see it on the bookmarked site, and click on it straight through to your blog.
Digg is a site that allows people to vote on your post, and the true beauty of this site is its simplicity. You will not find yourself stumbling around, trying to figure out where to go, you will see a bar that reads "submit", and you can submit your post there every week without any drama.
Delicious
This is my second favorite bookmarking site because it is also easy to use and allows one to post multiple blog posts without limit.
Again a simple tab at the top reads "add link" and all you do is copy and past your link and add a brief description of what you are posting. It is that simple.
I just started this one and am finding that I like it. It is not the same as digg as far as being a very basic bookmarking page where you can post your info and then run, but rather a little unique bulletin board of your "pins". Your friends who like your posts will "re pin" your pages and increase exposure for you.
Over all, I find it colorful, user friendly and fun. I was not expecting to like it and began with a rather negative attitude, but, I must say out of all the sites I have tried this one is growing on me.
TweetMeme
This site can take a little while to understand. There is a lot of information here of value and its worth taking the time to get to know. It surveys all the information and links on twitter to determine which links are the most popular. It then gathers these into categories and subcategories. This makes it easy for bloggers to fund the type of links and information they are interested in.
